The G Pen Connect arrives in a snazzy little pouch made of hemp. This is the same textured case that they use with the G Pen Roam and is nice to see Grenco Science not cut costs on the packaging. 

Simple Assembly in 1, 2, 3

Putting your G Pen Connect together is going to be the next step. You twist the glass stem into the ceramic tank housing and input into your 14mm piece. From there load and place the magnetic tank cap back on the device. 

Grenco Science has designed the G Pen Connect to be very intuitive despite it’s non traditional design or being a vaporizer without the vaporizer.

Magnetic Battery

The G Pen Connect has a convenient and well thought out battery design. The battery magnetically connects to the side of the body, which let’s you remove and put the battery back on with ease. This let’s you better store the Connect when it is still on you rig and will not put any weight on the glass. It can quickly be placed on , used and taken off after the session. In many ways it can be like the conventional passing the torch to heat the rig. 

The 850MAH battery charges via a micro USB and will charge full in about an hour. It holds a charge powerful enough to entertain the entire party. You can expect to get an average of 10-15 sessions on a single charge – more at lower temperature settings. 

Safety Note: The battery is heavy and it can shift the balance of smaller rigs, use caution with light-weight devices.

Clicks to Fun

The G Pen Connect has only one button and uses the common click sequences for operation that are standard with most other Grenco Science Vaporizers. The G Pen Connect has two heating modes: Automatic heat activation and manual heat activation. 

To turn on click the main button –  5 times 

To cycle through the temperature profiles –  3 times 

•   Low (Blue) – 375° F / 190° C
•   Medium (Green) – 400° F / 204° C
•   High (Red) – 428° F / 220° C

In automatic heat mode , when you reach your desired heat setting activate by clicking – 2 times

The G Pen connect will reach the desired temperature in about 5 seconds and hold that temperature for a duration of 10 seconds. 

In manual heat mode press the home button and hold. It will maintain heat for up to 15 seconds.

When you want to clear your device press the carb and inhale. 

Chamber capacity & draws

The chamber will hold about .25g of concentrates at a time, you can expect 3-5 hits from that amount of product. The ceramic chamber boasts patented reverse airflow technology, optimizing your session. 

Vapor Quality

The vapor quality is smooth in texture and intended to be on the more flavorful side. This is assisted with the ceramic heating element and relatively lower temperatures compared to other concentrate vaporizers.

Also the fact that the unit will only stay engaged for 10 seconds means you won’t have cloud competitions, but will have ample time for a monster hit or a few regular ones. 

Portability

The G Pen Connect is ultra portable and let’s you transport with ease. The magnetic tank cap lets you prefill for on the road. The magnetic battery is the one aspect which makes the G Pen Connect not ultra portable but the battery can easily be placed in one pocket and the body in the other. However the Grenco Science case provided proves to be amazing for taking it on the go.
